# Once Pro vs. Once CTE

The Once Early-Reading Program can be delivered in schools in either of two models. Both models provide school districts with an innovative and effective way to upskill people with the capacity (but not yet the training) to teach elementary school students how to read, to actually teach elementary school students to read and as a result make a profound impact on literacy goals within the district.

Once Pro is designed for elementary school staff members (paraprofessionals, teacher assistants, aides, interventionists, instructional assistants) who dedicate 2.5-5 hours per day to providing in-person, one-on-one, high impact reading tutoring to kindergarteners or 1st graders using Once. The school staff members providing Once Pro receive coaching weekly (although other cadences are permissible) based on recordings of their instruction to help them master all of the instructional objectives required to successfully deliver the Once program.

Once (Career and Technical Education) CTE is designed for high school students, typically in a CTE track, who provide Once tutoring to elementary school students during dedicated times in their schedule when the high school students are embedded in elementary school classrooms. CTE supervisors or teachers typically receive coaching based on recordings of instruction, although Once is also able to coach the CTE students directly.
