# Accessibility

Once is designed to be accessible to all young children. The key design principle for accessibility is that the adult sitting to the child logs into the software and navigates through the software so that the student never is required to operate the software independently.

If the student is unable to read a word or see an image or video, the adult sitting next to the student can provide oral instructions, an oral summary, an oral translation, or additional contextual information so that the child can continue to learn how to read.
